Datuk Seri Najib Razak congratulated the five Malaysian universities who earned a place among the world's top 400 universities in the QS World University Rankings list in 2014.
In his twitter yesterday, the Prime Minister said: "Congratulations to the five universities that are in the group of 400 universities in the world, registering a good position.
Keep going and we will achieve even greater success. "This year, the University of Malaya managed to improve from place 167 to 151, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia was ranked 259 out of 269 and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia increased to 294 from 355 the year-ago .
Universiti Sains Malaysia also increased to be in place 309 out of the 355 and Universiti Putra Malaysia to 376 from 411-420 category.
International Islamic University Malaysia remained in the 501-550 category as last year.
Universiti Teknologi Mara improve its position in the group with 651 to 700 compared to the 701 on before.
Based on that list, which means that Malaysia now has five universities in the group of 400 universities in the world.
